Bill Bodner

Meet Bill Bodner, recently retired after a near 32-year federal law enforcement career with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. At the time of his retirement, Bodner was the Special Agent in Charge of the DEA Los Angeles Field Division office, where he oversaw all criminal investigative matters and all controlled prescription drug administrative and civil matters in the states of Nevada and Hawaii, the US Territories of Guam and Saipan and the seven counties that make up the greater Los Angeles area.

Earlier in his career, Bodner worked at DEA’s Special Operations Division for three years where he coordinated international investigations of complex criminal organizations, worked on high value target capture operations, and participated in classified programs. Bodner was on the front lines from the days of Colombian Cartels dominating cocaine distribution in the U.S., through the transition of power to the Mexican Cartels and now their international dominance with synthetic stimulants and opioids. Bodner is a nationally recognized subject matter expert on the business and financial dealings of transnational criminal organizations and a respected voice on drug policy and its’ impact on todays’ social issues.

Bodner is not, nor has he ever been a registered Republican or a registered Democrat. He has been a registered Independent since he first voted in a presidential election in 1992. Bodner believes in laws, policies and practices based on common sense, that improve the quality of life in our communities. Bodner worked for the federal government through eight presidential elections and six different administrations, giving him unique insight into the workings of politics, big government and the corresponding impact on society.

Since retiring from federal service, Bodner started a private consulting and investigation company and frequently works pro-bono for investigative journalists, helping them uncover and document criminal schemes. Bodner continues to live in the Los Angeles suburbs.

Mark Garrett

Meet Mark Garrett, a retired California Highway Patrol Chief with an illustrious law enforcement career spanning three decades. Mark began his journey in 1990 as a road patrol officer, steadily climbing the ranks while tackling diverse assignments throughout the CHP's Southern Division.

Mark's tenure as the Southern Division Public Information and Recruitment Coordinator showcased his passion for fostering positive relationships with the media and the public. In 2008, he forged a groundbreaking partnership with NASCAR Sprint Cup Team Yates Racing, leading to the iconic CHP-branded number 28 Ford Fusion driven by Travis Kvapil at the Toyota Savemart 350 in Sonoma, California. The event garnered immense publicity and drove a highly successful recruitment campaign for the CHP.

A lifelong advocate for the law enforcement community, Mark consistently explored innovative avenues to elevate the profession's image and honor the dedication of its members.

Before and during his time with the CHP, Mark was a decorated member of the United States National Cycling Team. He won four United States Elite National Championship titles and earned two World Championship titles on the tandem bicycle at the 2002 World Para Championships in Augsburg, Germany.

Now residing in Florida, Mark hosts a podcast, Your LEO Nation, since 2021, where he discusses the rule of law and politics, continuing to champion the values he has held throughout his career.
